About My Upcoming Trip to Malawi
Friends,
I want to share something important with you. Early next year, I’ll be traveling to Malawi for the first time. It’s not a trip I’m taking lightly. It came onto my radar through relationships I trust, and the more I learned about the work happening there, the more I felt a quiet, steady pull to step into it.
I’m not going as an expert or as someone with a story already written. I’m going to listen, to learn, to serve where it makes sense, and to see with my own eyes what people on the ground have been faithfully doing for a long time without attention or applause.
The trip is focused on supporting local leaders, the ones who carry the long-term weight of the work. I’ll be joining efforts in education, community development, and practical support. Small, meaningful work in a place where everyday faithfulness matters.
I don’t know yet what I’ll see there, or what it will ask of me. And I think that’s the point.
If you’re receiving this, it’s because you’re part of my life in a way that gives context to this decision. Some of you might want to support the trip, through prayer, encouragement, or financial help if that’s something you feel comfortable with. I don’t want to create pressure or expectation. I simply want to make the invitation visible in case it’s something you want to participate in.
If you’d like to help cover the cost of the trip or contribute to the work being done on the ground, you can do that here. And if you’d rather support in non-financial ways, I value that just as much.
I’ll share updates along the way, as a way of letting people who care about me stay connected to what’s happening.
Thank you for being part of my life. Thank you for the ways you’ve supported me through seasons of clarity and seasons of rebuilding. I’m grateful for each of you.
With respect and gratitude,
Will
